As you know, the Wireline Competition Bureau has provided revised offers of model-based support to 191 companies, representing 228 study areas, reflecting reductions to original A-CAM offers. The reductions in model-based support are accompanied by a corresponding easing of deployment obligations.
Just a reminder: These carriers have until January 19, 2017 to notify the WCB whether they will elect to receive the reduced level of A-CAM support, or return to legacy settlements.
(The WCB also authorized the 35 companies that chose A-CAM support that was lower than their existing legacy settlements to receive the model-based settlements that they elected.)
In a related action, the WCB announced approval of individual company performance obligations, as well as support amounts, for those Alaskan carriers that elected participation in the Alaska Plan.
