On November 9, 2023, the FCC issued a Public Notice announcing the extension of the data submission deadline relative to the submission of Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) Transparency Data Collection information. The FCC’s rules in section 54.1813(c) require the submission of information regarding a participating provider’s ACP activity based on a snapshot date of August 1, 2023 by November 9, 2023. By this Public Notice the submission date is extended to November 30, 2023.
The need for the extension is due to technical difficulties experienced by USAC, the administrator of the ACP and the Transparency Data Collection process. As a result of the technical difficulties some filers may have experienced problems in the submission of their data. The extension provides additional time to all providers and in particular those providers who experienced technical issues when attempting to submit their data. In addition, the extension provides USAC the time necessary to resolve the technical problems.
All ACP providers are encouraged to submit their data well ahead of the November 30, 2023 deadline due to the upcoming Thanksgiving Federal Holiday. The Commission believes that the granting of an extension strikes a balance by enabling providers additional time to submit their data while not unduly delaying the public release of the data.
